Description
May Family Farms is a 5th Generation farm and ranch located west of Oberlin, KS. We have raised cattle for the past 137 years. We transitioned into a Black Angus herd in the late 1970s, and beginning in 2002, started working toward a 4-way cross cattle herd to maximize carcass quality and heterosis. We have been a closed cattle herd since 2009. We are a cow/calf, backgrounding, and finishing operation, so our cattle spend their entire lives on our farm. We produce a majority of our own feed, and no antibiotics or implants are used on our cattle. We believe our 4-way cross allows us to produce high-quality beef with top-notch taste and tenderness and high degrees of marbling.
